So CES has been 'Tabletville' for the last two days and Acer, Motorola, Samsung, Asus, Sharp & Panasonic have so far shown us their 'iPad Killers'. No offering from Microsoft yesterday and nothing as yet from HP, but expect the PalmPad to be soon enough.
Many have gone for a similar form factor to the iPad at 10 inches but quite a few have gone for the 7 inch sizes to strike at the literal gap in the market between smartphone and iPad. My question is..."Is that just too much choice and is the 7 inch tablet small or big enough as a result?"
Having had the misfortune to play with the Galaxy Tab a while back, I hated the camera and the interface was never as slick and smooth as the iPad's but I was willing to be tempted by the productivity. What I found was a keyboard which allowed me to type with my thumbs well but not as well as the iPhone and a full keyboard which was so small that I couldn't type as fast as the iPad. I have to say that on my limited experience...7 Inches is just not enough
