Tablet Day 2010…or not

Tablet Day 2010…or not
27 Jan 10

In 10 hours or so, Apple will hold their traditional January event but not a MacWorld Expo and I will be following it all on Engadget along with millions of others. Tablet Scmablet is the call from all of tech journos but I have a question.

So what about Software? Because January has always had software content.

Firstly, Apple hate Adobe and I think Aperture 3.0 will be coming with Layers Support and filters galore and be a dagger to the heart of Adobe in the Mac Market. I think also that creativity is the tag line so the next dagger to the heart will be an upgrade to the creative tools in iLife (iWeb needs to become more of professional package and stop just being for Grandma's Photos)

And what about the 'Express' Series. Logic Express and Front Row Express are both screaming for an upgrade and simplification of the user interfaces or do they abandon them in favour of a more all consuming iMovie and Garageband?

And then the Tablet. This may be the year of the tablet but not the month. iPhone 4.0 software is highly likely with SDK to create for new hardware at WWDC. Tablet in March or at WWDC.

The other issue is, I don't want a big iPhone...I want a tablet that I can toss in a bag and edit on and use around the house on wifi. I couldnt care less about contracts and yet I have to pay more if the rumours are true? I have £500 ready to go buy this thing, if its a little more, perhaps but £1000 and they are missing this target by a mile...or £500.
