British Tech Network: The Big Farewell

British Tech Network: The Big Farewell
3 Jun 26

Announcing the end of something you love is never easy, yet that's exactly where we are with the British Tech Network. After 18 years it's time power down the live stream and switch off our mics.

BTN grew from it's humble "BagelTech" beginnings into an amazing podcast collection. The BIG Show and The Mac Show have been running weekly for years. Others have come and gone, too, like The Photo Show and The News Show, The Gamer Show, The F1 Show, and even The Comic show. The variety of content and panel members makes the BTN name feel like a misnomer. While Ewen Rankin started the network in the UK, panel members came from around the world and we all became good friends. In hindsight, maybe World Tech Network or International Tech Network would've been more accurate. Or the Global Friends Network.

We've had on-location live coverage from events like CES. Greenie (taken from us far too young) gave us spontaneous concerts, but never got rich selling watches and shoes, despite his best efforts. We also bridged the digital world and got together in person several times for The Bash and Ewen's world card cutting championship.

All that is to say BTN has been much more than just a podcast network. It's a family in the best possible way, and something we'll all miss. But instead of quietly fading away, we're hosting a big sendoff show on Friday, June 5, at 4pm UK time (11am eastern, and 9am mountain time). We'd love for all of you—our awesome audience, along with current and former panel members and guests—to join us one last time.
