1. Hi Ewen and the guys I've been messing with Sharpening on my photos in the past few weeks since listening to the shows and wanted to know if you have a few words of wisdom as to how to ensure I sharpen my photos to the right degree. I have to say that my results have been mixed.
Cheers Eric Bridger - Torquay
2. Hi I am a new listener to your photo podcast having listened to the mac show for a long time and not known about the other great shows you guys do. I have been looking at upgrading my Sony alpha 100 (bought about 5 years ago) for some time as it is starting to limit my photography, I mean in terms of direct access buttons etc. as the image quality is good but suffers in low light and also AF is slow. I feel that I am disadvantaged because I have not upgraded for so long and a lot has changed in 5 years! In particular I am not sure if a good second hand body (of an older model) would do me just as well as a brand new revision. I opted for the Sony originally just because it was much cheaper than the Nikon D80 and Canon equivalent back then however I only have a kit lens and a 50mm f1.7 for the Sony so I am not exactly tied to any one system. I am really looking at investing around £1,000 plus in a body so I think I am looking at another crop sensor body but am totally confused with first the brands and then the models. I have picked up the D7000 and 60D/7D and the Nikon does feel very robust but when I look at second hand listings and ebay for cameras such as the original 5d, 50D and D700 I wonder if I should just opt for something older as the second hand market is very good at the moment. I would like the option to progress to full-frame eventually so I was thinking about jumping to Canon or Nikon from Sony as C and N have very good models at the full frame end but I heard some discussions recently and read some reviews and see that Sony are really coming forward with offerings such as the A77 and A99. I should have said what I shoot and it is mainly weekend landscapes, architecture and family portraits. Thank you for the great shows which I am currently going through on iTunes so I can catch up on the Photo Show. Best regards Matthew
3. Hello Photoshow I Love the show My question is about Lunar Photography and the ISS. I know that Kevin mentioned this a few episodes back but can you give me definitive settings to shoot the moon and the ISS 'correctly' I say correctly but I mean what gives me the best chance as an amateur at getting a 'Wow' Shot. Thanks Aadi Battacharjee - Mumbai
