The week in Mac

Steve Naybour (@stevenaybour) also joined in at the start of the show from the London Underground demonstrating the impressive wifi coverage from the station areas (25Mb down and 26Mb up). Virgin media are providing this service free during the olympics but then it will be on a subscription basis. The service currently covers Zone one but may be extended. There is no coverage within the tunnels.

Mountain Lion gold master is released for developers.
Apple also confirmed that some older 64-bit Macs will not be able to upgrade to Mountain Lion. System requirements

Tweetbot for mac alpha is released.

Kitguru published news photos’ of the mythical iPhone 5. These photos and the associated article have now been withdrawn.

Tim Cook attended the Sun Valley conference for meetings with media executives. Home entertainment expansion perhaps?
