Pentax Full Frame Sensor Rumours "Pentax Ricoh Imaging will neither confirm nor deny that is working on a full-frame DSLR, following remarks reportedly made by a top official in China.
Last month, gadget website Ubergizmo reported that Pentax is expected to debut a new full-frame DSLR - based on comments apparently made by Tomoyoshi Shibata, Pentax's managing director and general manager of Pentax Ricoh China, in an interview with pcpop.com.
The article adds that the camera ‘will apparently be different from other full-frame DSLR cameras'.
However, Pentax Ricoh Imaging UK's product co-co-ordinator Stephen Sanderson today told Amateur Photographer (AP) that the firm does not plan to issue any response to the report.
Separately, in March, Pentax appeared to hint that it may launch a full-frame DSLR later this year.
The suggestion emerged in a tweet purportedly posted by Pentax Australia, in response to a question posed by Hong Kong-based Pentax user Sam Wong.
In his tweet, Wong had asked: ‘A Pentax FF DSLR is coming??'
Pentax Australia replied: ‘This very well might be the year! Hold onto those lenses.'"
CopyRight Issues First is Kickstarter "Black Prints' "Sabrina Chun Started ""BlackPrints' as a kick starter project and was very successful. Her USP was taking classic car images and rendering them on Black canvas with details of the cars in white.
She used a mix of her own images and those preely available on the web...until she used a 1964 Shelby Cobra. The problem was that this image, although freely available on the AUTOBLOG Website as a wallpaper was actually still in the intellectual property of Bruno Ratensperger who originally took it.
A less identifiable Shelby is now on show in the collection. Chun said
1) Yes, I did erroneously take Bruno Ratensperger’s photo, but I had only intended to use it as a tribute because that particular car, the #95 Cobra, is a very famous one. The image was originally a free downloadable wallpaper via Autoblog, and I acknowledge that it was my mistake to believe that it was free intellectual property. However, Bruno and I spoke over the phone and we resolved the issue. Also, I had addressed this as well, via blog posts and updates multiple times to anyone who had inquired about it, as it was indeed my mistake.
2) The photos are all mine, as I literally have hundreds of my own car photos
The article on Petapixel does suggest that this might be an ' Orphan Work' in the UK due to the free use and lack of metadata, but thats just plain bollocks"
Samsung and Street Photographers "Samsung found itself in an embarrassing copyright infringement controversy earlier today after the company published a street photographer’s work without permission as an advertisement on its Facebook page. It wasn’t just the unauthorized use of the image that was embarrassing; here’s the kicker: the photograph was actually shot using a Nikon camera
The hoopla started when Orchard Road, Singapore-based “weekend photographer” Danny Santos II noticed this image shared on Samsung’s Facebook page with the text, “Crisp. Cinematic. This street shot is taken by one of our Samsung photographers! Share your own Singapore Street Shot photo. Who knows, it might just win you a Samsung NX300!”"
Photographers Petition Adobe to Restart CS7 development "Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based photographer Derek Schoffstall has started a petition urging Adobe to ""restart development for Adobe Creative Suite 7,"" following the company's announcement that it had ""no plans for future releases of Creative Suite or other CS products."" Adobe has already decided that the newest iteration of Photoshop - called Adobe Photoshop CC - will be available exclusively to Creative Cloud members (although it did add that ""Creative Suite 6 products will continue to be supported and available for purchase"").
The petition, which has already been signed by more than 1500 photographers from around the world, argues that customers ought to ""have a choice between either CC or the creative suite."""

Glassagram introduces Google Glass to the world of retro filters. "As Google Glass ramps up to the point where it’s eventually available to the general public, app developers are looking to get in on the ground floor and start developing for the platform early on. Naturally, several of those apps will seek to provide an Instagram-like service for Glass users, and the first to jump on this bandwagon is an app called Glassagram.
Glassagram is a rudimentary app (they’re all rudimentary at this point) for Google Glass that allows users to add one of five filters to the pics they’re snapping with their fancy new toy
To use Glassagram, you first have to sign up for the service and allow it access to your Glass timeline. You then share a photo using the service and it, in turn, sends a card with all five filter options back to your timeline — just select/re-share the one with the filter that suits your fancy

Andi - Bristol
"Hello there
A quick question for you. If I were to store all my old photos up in my attic, could the potentially hot (in Britain, I know that's a bit of a joke) and cold temperatures damage the processed photos or negatives? I intend to keep them in a fairly well sealed box.
Thanks for a great show
Cheers
Andi from Bristol."
"Skin can be scratched; so can film.
• Skin can be blistered by chemicals or heat; so can film.
• Skin can be damaged by prolonged exposure to the sun; so can film.
• Skin gets dry and brittle in low humidity and cold; so does film.
• Skin is susceptible to fungus in excessive heat and relative humidity; so is film.
• Skin can be burned; so can film
Fujifilm Guidance - 21 Deg C and below 50%-60% Humidity - Too Low attracts dust and then increases risk of scratches.
Long Term Storage - Wash and Clean off your tranies or Negs to remove excess chems and gunk.
Dry them and then store
Frames are best rather than rolling up - Physical damage - Cellaphane rolls"

"Hi Ewen. Love the show.
My Question is about Depth of Field. I understand that the lower the F setting the shorter the distance for things in focus but I also now know that changes the further away I am from the subject of my photo.
Do you have a rule of thumb for F setting versus distance and is there any rules for what to focus on when taking pictures of people, animals or Objects
Thanks for any help
