Well iOS 8 is upon and with it comes third party keyboards and surely the best of the bunch has to be Swype and I'm not alone as its rocketed to the top of the app store paid chart. In recent years I've looked enviously at my Android cousins who've had access to it for ages.
If you don't know what Swype is then it's simply a keyboard where you whoosh your finger over the keys and as if by magic it works out what you're on about. Good knows how it does it, it just works. In fact I'm writing this entire review using it (please excuse my brevity).
Now I'm happy paying money for apps but no app has filled me with more glee than this. Now I won't lie, it does take a little getting used to but once you get the knack there's no going back to thumb typing. Couple the functionality of Swype with the predictive text in iOS 8 and you're onto a winner, you don't even have to put spaces in, it's all done for you.
With the extended functionality of the custom iOS 8 dictionary and its ability to learn you can knock out messages, emails and blogs with the greatest of ease. It will never be as fast as touch typing on a real keyboard but for a mobile device it's a must.
Swype is a universal so it'll work on your iPhone and iPad so double the fun and for 69p who could argue?
