Poundland VR Viewer

Poundland VR Viewer
5 Dec 16

Yesterday I headed into the epicentre that is Norwich City centre to do a bit of crimbo shopping. Now I love all things high-tech but now and then I have to satisfy my dirty urge to go to Poundland to look at the tech section. So imagine my glee whilst choosing weirdly coloured iPhone cables I saw that they now stock Google Cardboard compatible VR goggles.

They come flat packed so you need to construct them yourself but to be honest you really couldn't tell them apart from the product they are trying to clone.

Although Google Cardboard rolls of the tongue the quids worth of 3D Virtual Reality Viewer does a lot of the things you'd expect from this VR standard. The only thing it's missing is the trigger button that allows you to interact with apps but it's simple enough to pull out your phone and hit the buttons on the screen.

It's not perfect, but hey it's a quid, so if you're looking for a way to try all of those cardboard compatible apps this is a great start.

It's a bloody quid!!!
