As geeks we like our data and get a bit tetchy if we can't get our fix. A lot of us are lucky enough to have unlimited data plans but many people are capped so it would be a good idea to keep an eye on what you're using so you don't go over and get charged.
Now most carriers provide their own methods to track your usage but some can be cumbersome and confusing. So with this in mind I went out looking for an app that could monitor your usage for you and I think I've found it. My Data Manager.
The first thing I like about it is its simplicity. It's a clean and well designed app and dead easy to use. The thing that I like most is fact that you can enter what your allowance is and the day that it's renewed. It will then tell you what you've used that day and what you have left. The best thing is that it learns your habits and develops your profile so based on what you normally use it predicts your average and adjusts accordingly.
You can also set up profiles for roaming data as well as wifi and shared data plans. Another great thing is that you can set custom alarms that will alert you to whether you're getting close to your monthly or even daily limits so you can keep on top of things.
And that's all about there is to say about this. It's a great little app and best of all it's free. Even better you can get it for both iOS and Android.
