So there seems to be a new wave of social video from the likes of Vine and Instagram where you can post short snippets of your life or your lunch. But what if you want to be a little more creative and professional well there’s another player on the scene in the form of MixBit.
Brought to you by YouTube founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen MixBit is more of a mini video production studio for your phone. In the same way that Instagram and Vine capture video all you have to do is to press your digit on the screen for the desired amount of time until you have all the shots you need.
You then move from shooting to production where you are presented with a timeline where you can move clips around, insert other photos and videos from your PhotoStream and here’s the other cool part, you can download videos from other MixBit members to your device and use them in your project.
Once you've created your masterpiece you can then share it to your favourite social network (or not). Your projects and finished movies are all accessible from the app so you can go back and add more content should the mood take you.
The interface is clean and simple and is really easy to get to grips with so if you want to experiment with social video with a bit more class then MixBit is worth the download. And hey, it’s free!
