iPhone Car Charger

I have bought numerous Anker products and have always rated them highly, recommending them to friends and podcast listeners.. The Anker PowerDrive 2 car phone charger package however isn't the complete 5 star product I wanted it to be. Don't however stop reading this review here, there's a twist..

The packaging as always is excellent from Anker, the PowerDrive2 adapter is the right size, feels excellent quality and the dual USB ports are great with fast simultaneous charge speeds on 2 iPhone 6's due to the 2 x USB ports delivering upto 4.8amp output. The supplied cable however by Anker's own standards is disappointing. It just feels thin, cheap and doesn't have the quality feel of other Anker products.. I politely fed back to Anker and have to say the response and service was first class, apologising for "not getting it right first time" and immediately offering me a better quality cable which arrived a day later! Well done Anker!!

If you are looking to buy a car charger I'd absolutely recommend buying the standalone Anker PowerDrive2 and then a separate high quality Anker cable - it will be £1-2 more than the combo but overall a better quality setup that most of the car charger options out there.
