I’m a typical Norfolk boy, I’m not much of a traveller but when I do I want to have all of the facts at my disposal especially when it comes to getting the best deal. So I could visit the web sites of a multitude of travel companies or I could do it all in one place and that’s something that’s been made easy with the new app from Trains from GoEuro.

The premise is pretty simple. Slap in where you want to travel from and where you will be travelling to. Add a departure date and a return if required and tell them how many people are going. GoEuro will then perform an in-depth search of all of the available options separated into travel by train, coach and flights. It then shows you the prices that each company is offering so that you can get the best deal.

Once you’ve found the deal that’s right for you you can go right ahead and book it from the app, simple!

goeuroappThe app covers 65,000 train stations, 15,000 bus/coach terminals and 3,000 airports across the UK and 80,000 unique destinations in Europe. I only had one criticism of this in that the local station in Birmingham that I travel to for the BTN Bash is not one of those listed but am I sure that they are working on incorporating more locations as the app evolves.

As a user experience the app is clean and easy to use and it gave me all of the information that I was looking for such as train changes and the like. Best of all it’s free so worth having a look at the next time you need to plan a journey.

The app is available for iOS and Android. You can also search from their web site.
