When was the last time you were shocked by a set of headphones? I mean genuinely shocked?

The headphone market is a stupid one. Since Beats hit the market with great sound quality and an awful price the audio market manufacturers have gone mental.

Previously badged 'budget' headphones have got a lick of paint and the price has tripled. Whats changed inside the headphone. Nothing!

Enter 'Jamboo' a successful kickstarter project out of San Diego. Who made some headphones out of Bamboo in six jazzy colours, slapped a Panda on the marketing and started knocking them out. Then the UK operation started and The British Tech Network got a pair for review. I've been incredibly unfair in both those statements however.

WOW. NEVER have I been as wrong about a product as these headphones. Out of the box, I was taken with the colours. Nice, cool feel in the hands and a 'no tangle' tag line that appears to be absolutely accurate. But thats just the hype right? WRONG!

These are the nicest, in-ear headphones I have ever used. I have some Sennheiser in-ear phones which are great but just pale against the Jamboos. The bass on these is what floored me. Deep tones, rounded and full but not to the detriment of the treble. I listened to some podcasts, thinking that speech would suffer, particularly the female voice and its not. These are just simply a great great pair of headphones with sound quality that I might suggest is better than most of the in-ear phones market.

OK, Price...thats the killer on any of the headphones out there that have great sound quality and great looks right? WRONG AGAIN! Jamboos are available in all colours in the UK store (http://www.jambooheadphones.co.uk/shop) at £24...with Special Leash for tidying your cables. £24
