CES 2011 Tablets – The Good, The Bad, The Awful

CES 2011 Tablets – The Good, The Bad, The Awful
7 Jan 11

We just can't stay away from all the Tablets being introduced (or re-introduced) at this years CES. With all of the new tablets coming our way in 2011, you may be thinking which one is right for you. Below I have compiled a list of 3 tablets showing off  the good, the bad, and the awful ones at CES 2011.

The Good:

Motorola Xoom

A 10.1-inch tablet packing a dual-core processor, Android 3.0/Honeycomb OS, 1080p video playback and 3G/4G/Wi-Fi connectivity with a 5MP camera on the back and a 2MP front-facing camera for video chat. Look for this one to be the tablet of the year in my opinion, and watch it fly by the BlackBerry Playbook.

The Bad:

VIERA Tablet

This is the tablet that I believe will be the one that gets lost in the crowd. Screen sizes will reportedly range from  4 inches to 10 inches. It will  interact with Panasonic's VIERA Connect to access internet services via your Panasonic HDTV, and will run on the Android OS. Other then that not much else is really know about this tablet, and with that being said in a few months time no one really will know or care about the VIERA Tablet.

The Awful:

Lenovo LePad

I know what your thinking, how could I say that this tablet is awful! Let me take you back to CES 2010 and to the Lenovo's Ideapad U1. Its the same thing! The only difference is it's running on a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs a customized version of the Android 2.2 OS. Well maybe the tablet is not awful, but Lenovo sure is for trying to sell us old stock from last year!
