We all love apps right? And we're a community right? But sometimes finding the apps that will change your life or those that just bring a smile to your face is a slog. So then we thought. We're all using different devices and have a plethora of tastes and probably have a treasure trove of app gems that could inspire others.

So today we announce the BTN App Exchange, a forum to share the apps that have changed your life or have just made it a little better.

Whether you're on iOS, Android or Windows Phone, we don't judge.

You have a wealth of knowledge that could be invaluable to many. We'd love you to share your app experiences and this will help us build up the ultimate app directory that we can share with the BTN community and beyond.

Each week there will be a theme and we'd love to hear your related recommendations and share them with others. So let's get started with this week's theme.

Week One: Games For Kids

So school's out and the summer holidays have started in ernest. I am sure that many of us are responsible for smaller human beings and sometimes keeping them occupied can be a full time job but that's where apps can help out. The younger generation love mobile gaming so we'd love to hear apps you've found to keep the little ones quiet.

To start of here is a recommendation from me.

Geometry Dash

This little beauty was recommended to be by my daughter. It's a good old fashioned 8-bit continuous scrolling affair. Your mission to navigate your craft across various terrains avoiding the obstacles as we as a host of nasties.

I like I said the graphics can't fail in stir a little nostalgia but the music is awesome (they even give you an option to download the tracks). Gameplay is nice and simple. You just need a simple but well timed finger tap.

There is a free version of the app with ads but you can remove them in the full version and is available for both iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

So Over To You

Time to get sharing. Please leave your recommendations in the comments below and we'll see you next week for a new theme.
