This week signifies the 10th anniversary of the reboot of Doctor Who and to celebrate the BBC are releasing their top episodes as selected by the current Doctor, Peter Capaldi. Not a surprise as time is a wibbly, wobbly, timey thing but these episodes are not being released via the normal means of Netflix, DVD or iPlayer, this comes to you courtesy of BitTorrent.
BitTorrent, yes, that download medium that's normally associated with the less-than-legal means of acquiring copyrighted content is now allowing you to purchase Doctor Who episodes via the file sharing service.
The package provided by BitTorrent Bundles contains 21 files including Capaldi's top rated episodes each come with intros from the 13th Doctor himself in the same vein as the DVD extras of its extinct physical media predecessor.

Not bad eh? Well what if I told you that all of this is your to own for only 8 quid ($12)? Fair enough you can access most of this content on Netflix and other mediums but who knows if it will be there forever. With this you get the files to keep and do whatever you like with them. I think it's a bargain.
If you're not sure there is a free download containing a couple of the preview files so you can see for yourself what sort of quality you'll be getting.
Let's hope that other companies follow suit and finally provide us with affordable content and effective means with which to acquire it.
You can grab the bundle right here.
